So, Matt and I had the opportunity to see candidates Newt Gingrich, Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., Rick Santorum and Texas Governor Rick Perry, last night at the Hoyt Sherman where they outlined how they would uphold the sanctity of life once they were in office. The underlying tone we heard was that if We as a nation get this wrong (upholding life), then we'll get a lot of other things wrong, too. Protecting life from it's conception sets the stage for how we view people and their unalienable rights.
We were excited to see the candidates in person and enjoyed having Huckabee again here in Iowa. On the way out we were stopped and interviewed by a national reporter from Politico, Jonathan Martin. He was one of many present, as every major news outlet crowded the event. It was a great night to be in Iowa.
Stay tuned for pictures of the kids. I assure you this is not a political blog:)
