How to Make a Mess

We've had more chilly days lately, which only lends itself to short trips outside. I've had to ramp up the creativity since we all have cabin fever. So, why not make a mess?...Mason really enjoyed this project. You start with cornstarch and adding a little water at a time. Keep whisking the cornstarch mixture and adding water until you have a nice paste. Add food coloring and voila - you've made goo!

This messy mixture is interesting because when you squeeze it, it's a solid and when you open your hand and let it go, it's a liquid. So, Mason now has a small grasp on the concept of solids and liquids, but mostly just had fun playing with his goo.

The culprits ... cornstarch, food coloring and a little water. The clean-up crew...Method spray. This is my all-time favorite cleaner (bleach being a close second). The lavender scent is great, it's natural a.k.a I can pronounce all the ingredients, and best of all it cuts through goo, caked on mac n' cheese residue and much more! So, if you've got cabin fever too, I'd highly recommend a big mess of goo.
